Royal Livingstone voted in Africa’s top 25

Sun International’s Royal Livingstone beat off strong competition to be voted among the top 25 hotels in Africa by readers of US travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveler this October.

More than 40,000 readers participated in the survey, now in its 25th year. The ratings are given to all hotels, resorts, safari camps and even cruise ships based on travellers’opinions of their best holiday encounters around the world.

“The Condé Nast Traveler awards are highly prestigious as the votes are cast independently by seasoned travellers,” said resort general manager Joanne Selby. “They make their comparisons from a host of other properties around the world. We are honoured to have received this recognition. With the completion of a US$7 million refurbishment of the Royal Livingstone by mid December 2012, we look forward to welcoming more guests to our beautiful part of Africa.”

Located on the banks of the Zambezi River, within both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, the five-star Royal Livingstone Hotel is a sister hotel to the three-star Zambezi Sun.
