Elephant’s Eye, Hwange is the latest safari lodge to open in the Hwange area. With chartered flights to the Hwange airstrip or a two-hour drive from Victoria Falls, Elephant’s Eye is easily accessible from the regional hub of tourism. It is only 13km from Hwange National Park’s main gate, in the Sikumi forestry area. Building started in December 2012 and six months later in July this year the first clients enjoyed the four star luxury, and abundant game viewing of this new Hwange offering.

Herds of elephant linger not far from the tented chalets and drink leisurely at the nearby waterhole. Staff are trained to provide personalised, five star service to ensure guests relax and escape the stresses of modern life.

Eight tented en-suite chalets accommodate a maximum of 16 guests. Solar power is used and architecture and design is billed as eco-friendly. All furnishings and materials used in the making of Elephant’s Eye were 100% African, in keeping with guidelines for sustainability and development. An eco-swimming pool is an easy stroll from the chalets.

Day and night game drives, educational game walks, and sundowners at the waterhole are provided. Guides are Zimbabwean professionally licensed guides, and staff members are all Zimbabwean, most of whom are from the Hwange area.
