Getting to the Zambezi


Most visitors outside of Africa access the Zambezi region via flights to Johannesburg International Airport, South Africa, and taking connecting flights to regional airports such as Livingstone (Zambia) and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe). However it is possible to fly direct to other captial cities such as Harare (Zimbabwe), Lusaka (Zambia), Gabaronne (Botswana) or Windhoek (Namibia) and then connect to your Zambezi destination.

Livingstone and Victoria Falls airports are in the process of expansion and direct flights to the region via other routes are increasingly being offered. Check directly with flight operators our your local agent for current details. Aiport or departure taxes are also implimented in some instances - check at the time of booking.

Car Hire

Car hire services are available in all countries of the Zambezi. There are a number of self drive companies that provide 4 x 4 vehicles to drive into the region. These vehicles can picked up in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
